Equipping the saints for the work of the ministry.
The mission of Calvary Chapel Rochester, MN is based on the words of Paul the apostle in Ephesians 4:12:
...To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,
We believe in equipping believers to be dedicated, living active followers of Jesus Christ, lights in a dark world and loving vessels to the hurting.
The vision of Calvary Chapel Rochester, MN is to make disciples who are then equipped to carry God's word and the Gospel into their homes, their community, their workplace and the world, we desire all that God has for our church and want to reach the world for Jesus Christ.
Calvary Chapel Rochester, MN is an affiliate of Calvary Chapel Association. In 1965, Pastor Chuck Smith began his ministry at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa with just twenty-five people. At a pivotal time in history, Pastor Chuck welcomed all, young and old, without judgment, into the local church. With a sincere concern for the lost, Pastor Chuck and Kay Smith made room in the church and their home for a generation of hippies and surfers, serving in the midst of a powerful movement of the Holy Spirit that spread from the West Coast to the East Coast and throughout the world. As time went on, the movement grew and now there are thousands of Calvary Chapel's throughout the world teaching verse by verse.
Calvary Chapel Rochester, was founded in 2000 and it has been a venture in faith since it's early days of meeting in a home. Calvary Rochester continues to model teaching verse by verse through scripture and has a desire to see the Lord work in mighty ways within the body of believers as well as the community of Rochester. We believe and operate ministry in the words of Zachariah 4:6 "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. : We want all the Lord has for our church and desire to see his Spirit work in the lives all who come through our doors.
