Heaven

"All Paths Lead to Heaven, Christianity is just one of many" Let's think about that statement for a moment...

The Bible says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life". (John 3:16) We also learn from the Bible that God is love. (1 John 4:8)

If it is true that God is love, what kind of a loving father would allow his only son to die for people's sins if in fact there were other ways for people to go to heaven? When Jesus was in the garden of Gethsemane the night before His crucifixion, He prayed, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will." (Matthew 26:39).

The fact of the matter was that it was not possible for mankind to be saved from sin apart from Jesus' blood being shed on the cross.

You cannot arbitrarily choose any road to travel and realistically hope to arrive in Rochester. You have to choose the right road. In order to choose the right road you first need to understand where you are on a map in relation to Rochester. Only then can you choose which road to get to Rochester.

The Bible tells us where we are in relation to heaven, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". (Romans 3:23)

We are all sinners who fall short of the perfection that a Holy God requires. The good news, however, is that God IS love, and He provided a path for us to get to heaven. That path is faith in Jesus Christ.

The Bible says "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out." (Acts 3:19) We need to recognize that we are sinners and repent of our sin. (Acts 3:19)

Next, put your trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation. The Bible says "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)

"All Paths lead to heaven, Christianity is just one of many" is simply not true. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6)

The Bible says "He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life." (1 John 5:12)
